He's Home...

I picked him up at noon but only because he threatened to walk home if I didn't get there soon! Excited to get home I guess...

We picked up prescriptions... like 7 of them, got to the house and all he wanted was his pain meds, a shower and to see Winter...in that order. Well he got 2 out of 3 because Winter is visiting with her grandma from Michigan today. But the kids promised to bring her by soon.

He is still having a bit more nausea then he would like and definitely hits the 4 hour window on the pain meds right on the dot. Seems to be in a really good mood and moving well when the pain meds are on board but you can tell he's hurting about 3 1/2 hours after he takes them. So he's still the same at yesterday but at least its at home where he is comfortable.

Tomorrow his brother Pedro is coming over to "hang out" with him while I'm at work...this means hours and hours of uninterrupted talk of land surveying. Oscar will be like a kid in a candy store. Today Jenn from church brought us some very nice dinner, it smells wicked good in the oven.... can't wait to taste it! What a life saver it is to have dinner ready after the long week we've had. I'm so looking forward to sleeping in my own bed and so it Oscar.

UPDATE ON JONATHAN

Well much like his father.... once they got in his mouth there was to much infection to do the extractions. he didn't get into the gory details but they cut away some infected gum and drained some places and are plugging him full of antibiotics for a week. Apparently there's serious risk of blood stream contamination....or something.

Does this not sound like a bad daytime drama series...what are the chances?...

For those of you wondering about our friends the Himmels.... Drew is still in the hospital. Mom and Dad are tired and stressed as one would expect after 20 days in the hospital with a 4 year old. Please continue to pray for this family.....

Hooray for Oscar getting to go home! I hope that he can be in less pain soon, so that he does not have to count down until the 4 hours are over for more meds. That's sad that Winter is out of town and could not celebrate grandpa's homecoming!
