Oscar said he feels 110% better since they pulled the drain this morning at 9am. He is completely off the pain medication. Still a bit tired occasionally, takes a few cat naps thorough out the day but is already talking about going to the office for "just a few hours honey"!

The surgery to remove the appendix has not been scheduled but a pre-op appointment is for July 19th. The way it was explained to Oscar is that the appendix after it ruptures, will scar over like any other part of the body, so the urgency to remove it has passed. It will heal and the chances of another infection in the next year are the same as someone who hasn't had a ruptured appendix. So he is seriously considering waiting until after the summer is over.
I guess we will know more after July 19th.
Thanks to everyone for all the prayers, it's a huge comfort. Hopefully my sister in law will be sending pictures from this weekend so I can post to show everyone how much fun we had with his family!
