Not much new to report. He is still in considerable pain but the medication is helping a lot. Makes him very sleepy. They still haven't put in the drain...not sure what is taking so long but if they haven't done it by 10am, I'm going to start putting some pressure on the staff to make it happen. It seems so silly when the doc said he would get almost immediate relief from the drainage to make him wait almost 24 hours before doing it. Becca is there with him now, reading and keeping him company.
When awake he is asking when Winter will come for a visit...seems to care more that he hasn't seen his granddaughter for 24 hours than he does about the drain placement... the man is smitten!
I did find out that he will have Internet access once he's awake enough to use it so that will be nice. Something to kill the boredom of days of IV Antibiotics he has in store for himself.
